In 2018, ICP DAS signed a technology transfer agreement with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to formally acquire and use TPU technology and knowledge. Launching new ventures, ICP DAS established a dedicated biomedical business unit known as ICP DAS – BMP. With this strategic move, ICP DAS – BMP successfully entered into new markets for medical-grade TPU, becoming the first company in Taiwan and Asia to manufacture medical-grade TPU materials.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

ICP DAS \u2013 BMP offers ideal medical manufacturing materials, including three series of Alithane\u2122 (ALP series), Durathane\u2122 (ALC series), and Arothane\u2122 (ARP series). All TPU pellets have passed the USP Class VI and\/or ISO 10993 biocompatibility tests. Moreover, we developed a unique one-step polymerization process to produce high-performance TPU pellets available in various colors, radiopaque fillers (Tungsten\/Barium Sulfate), and hardness.A<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To better meet customer-specific requirements, ICP DAS \u2013 BMP provides a broad range of medical-grade TPU products for manufacturing various medical devices and equipment. The TPU materials can be extensively used to produce catheters, cardiovascular devices, cancer treatment devices, guidewire coatings, and many more.<\/span><\/p>

ICP DAS \u2013 BMP has obtained ISO 13485 manufacturing certification for our TPU. We have our own laboratories for polymerization, physical & chemical properties analysis, and mechanical & cytotoxicity testing. In addition, TPUs that we manufacture are USP Class VI and\/or ISO 10993 certified: ISO 10993-4 for hemocompatibility testing, ISO 10993-5 for cytotoxicity testing, ISO 10993-10 for irritation and skin sensitization testing, ISO 10993-11 for systemic toxicity testing, and ISO 10993-23 for irritation testing. Our product series also comply with REACH and RoHS.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
